Carrie + Michael - 05.26.2012


Here is a little glimpse into my 'day job' -- I coordinate the weddings and social events for the Crowne Plaza Hotel. I love this color scheme and clean look shown at this recent wedding at the hotel. We hosted the ceremony and wedding reception on site in two different ballrooms. Here are some favorite phtoos from the day:

Ceremony aisle lined with various sized glass cylinders. Each contained an immersible blue LED light, crystal gemstones, water, and a floating white candle. A white pipe and drape backdrop framed the ceremony space.
Flower girls carried these full pomanders made of white peonies and hanging crystals.
Labels on paper bags pointed guests to their tables, and individual place cards were pre-set at each guest's seat.
Paper Bags with each guest's name doubled as the Candy Shoppe Display bags, where guests could fill a goody bag during cocktail hour.
The Bride has this Detroit Tigers jersey custom made with their new surname for guests to sign as a guestbook.
Chair Covers in Platinum Satin and wrapped with a Resort Blue Lamour tie in a Side Wrap Style.
Custom Color LED Ceiling Lighting gave a bright glow to the Platinum and Turquoise color scheme.
Menu Cards and Custom Seating Cards.
Candy Shoppe Buffet featuring Old Fashioned Favorites.
Bling Photo Frames guided guests to their tables.
Square dining tables gave the room a modern feel.

Raise your hand if you LOVE washing dishes? Yes? Then this recipe isn't for you. Because dinner is done in one pot. Set it and forget it while you change into something more comfortable after a long day. Instant Pot Chicken Marsala

Day two with my Crock-Pot Express (CPE), aka Instant Pot. Tonight, we are making Chicken Marsala, one of The Captain's favorites. Since I'm preparing to get back into the 21 Day Fix starting on January 15 (with the new 80 Day Obsession plan!), I'm going to enjoy the chicken and green beans only, while the rest of the family will have egg noodles with their chicken. I found a simple enough recipe on Pinterest that I'm going to adapt to work for our family's tastes a little bit better.
