My sister's name is Elizabeth, brother is Nicholas, brother-in-law is David, husband is Sam .... seeing a trend here in the simplest, most traditional, always-on-the-top-100-most-popular-names list?
I guarantee you they have all been able to walk into any seaside souvenier shop or airport gift store and immediately found their little personalized license plate frame, neatly tucked into it's place among their alphabetical counterparts.
As for me .... I still look, search, scale the rack for any inkling that a "Kyra" keychain might be there. Could this be it? Will it be different this time? Can I waltz out of this store one personalized key chain richer? I scan the tags through the Ks ... and there, we see Kyle, and jump right to ..... Jack.
Every.Single.Time.
But, even at 29 years old, I still look.
Someday, I will find one. Until then, I must settle for the "#1 Diva" keychain they make by default for us uniquely named. The hope lives on.
