This is one of my favorite DIY holiday crafts. It's also one of the simplest!
Estimated cost: $9/wreath
Ingredients:
100-120 ornaments in assorted sizes (I used 9 tubes of ornaments from the Dollar store)
1 wire hanger
Hot glue gun
2' length of ribbon
Pliers
Start with your wire hanger. Untwist the top and open it completely to create a large circular loop. Set aside.
I dumped all of the ornaments in the sink to see the sizes and to corral the eminent glitter. Depending on the ornaments you have, you may want to put a dab of hot glue under each cap to secure it to the ornament.
Start looping the ornaments onto the wire hoop one at a time, alternating sizes and adjusting each ornament to create an assorted 'stack' of ornaments. Continue looping until you reach the hook of the hanger. Finish adjusting any ornaments to fill in any holes in the pattern.
Using your pliers, twist the hanger's two sides back together. You can either use the hanger's hook to hang your wreath, or, what I did, was cut off the hook with pliers. Then I looped the ribbon onto the top of the wreath an hot glued the seams together to create a continuous loop.
All in, I have three leftover ornaments and one adorable wreath.
